The shutter click only records a fraction of a second. We brought video cameras into the Oshawa studio back in 2024 – well, maybe it was late 2023 – because clients wanted to see the hours leading up to that click. It is hard to explain the atmosphere of a shoot with just photos. Motion captures the context. So we’re shooting behind-the-scenes footage, branding clips, and short-form reels across the Greater Toronto Area. The videos below show what a session looks like from the floor.

When shooting outdoors, I often found myself becoming a pack mule to haul gear. Up until now, I had been using a folding beach wagon attached to a yoke. This solution was created by a local company ITransform Robotics.

The summer went by too quickly.
Next year I will be shooting a Nomad Bath series. The aim behind this will be to shoot in swimwear at various GTA locations where you wouldn’t regularly find a bathtub. I have several spots in mind – but I’m also open to suggestions. Reach out if you’d like to be involved.

adding motion to the mix
A branding shoot needs more than just headshots. People buy from people they trust, and trust builds faster when they see you move and hear you speak. I’ve noticed that clients who book a hybrid photo and video session end up using the video assets far more often than they expect – because TikTok demands it now. We set up the lighting for stills and keep the video rolling in the background, which takes the pressure off because you aren’t staring down a red recording light. And we catch the authentic moments between the poses, even when you think nobody is watching.
Gear is heavy. Video production is available as an add-on to any photography package, though it requires a bit of extra planning on the front end.
But I don’t shoot weddings or massive corporate commercials – those sets are a nightmare anyway – I prefer to keep the crew small. The focus stays on individual branding, studio sessions, and small-scale creative projects. Actually, scratch that, we do take on larger projects if the concept is right. If you need a cinematic reel for your business or just want a behind-the-scenes record of your boudoir session, we can make that happen.
